Tomlin pitched in 17 games and started five of them with two complete games with nearly 40 innings pitched and an ERA of 4.76.
The Braves are the two-seed, opening the playoffs against the Cincinnati Reds in a best of three series.
The other two Red Raiders representing in the MLB Playoffs are on the coaching staffs of two storied franchises.
The first is Stubby Clapp, who's part of the St. Louis Cardinals coaching staff. Josh Bard, who's with the World Series favorite Los Angeles Dodgers, is the second.
The 5th-seed Cardinals will open the playoffs in San Diego while the Dodgers will host the Brewers.
Bonus Red Raider involved in the MLB playoffs is Oakland A's dugout reporter Dallas Braden. He's one of the most electric personalities in baseball and does great work for the A's. The A's lost game one against the White Sox and will try to survive that playoff series today.
