There Are a LOT of Plumbing Issues on Lubbock’s Craigslist [NSFW]
It's always interesting (and a little creepy) to watch people circle the drain of good taste and poor judgment, especially when it is in our own backyard.
Sometimes, in order to feel better about yourself, taking a peek at the "Missed Connections" section of Lubbock's Craigslist is just the shot in the arm you need. However, after reading some of the missives on Craigslist, that shot may need to be penicillin.
Admittedly, some of these posts may be innocent, and also a little humorous, such as this one, titled: "Yesterday, during lunch:"
You were eating lunch yesterday at the cheesecake factory. You sat at the bar alone. You had work overalls on and a very well trimmed beard. If this is you, let me know what food you had.
See? Fairly innocent, right? However, this is clearly the exception rather than the rule. As you scroll through the listings, one would assume that there are lots of issues with plumbing here in Lubbock, and that there seems to be a plethora of unlicensed plumbers who are looking for work.
I think you can actually get COVID-19 just visiting the site, or most certainly computer herpes.
Perusing through (and giving our IT department something to discuss later), you realize that they really aren't looking for a plumber in the traditional sense.
Sorry, this guy can't help you:
Neither can this guy:
I'm no expert, but if this was a real plumber, it wouldn't be listed under "Missed Connections" Just sayin'.
And if you're wondering, no, I won't actually link to these ads. But I'll give this person below some points for honesty:
Yep. You're a pig.
Of course, you can't help but acknowledge the irony of the disclaimer asking not to be contacted for unsolicited services. Seriously, Porky?
Seriously, some of y'all need help. And no, you won't find it on Craigslist.
