There is only one requirement to be a member of this club and it will make you a legend. Your influence will reach generations who worship you. You will have the status will be that of a God. But this club no-one wants to be in. The Forever 27 club is dedicated to influential rock and blues artists who all died at the age of 27.

  • The Rolling Stones at THEIR VERY BEST-With Brian Jones (10/64)


    The first one to go, in 1969, was Brian Jones, the founder and guitarist of the Rolling Stones. He was found dead after a party at his home, found at bottom of his swimming pool. Three people were present including his girlfriend Anna Wohlin, who 30 years after his death,  broke her silence to claim that Brian had been murdered by builder Frank Thorogood who was working on his London estate. At his funeral, neither Keith Richards nor Mick Jagger bothered to show up.

  • Jimi Hendrix Hey Joe Live


    Just one year later the amazing Jimi Hendrix died of an overdose in London. The circumstances of the incident are not very clear. The London police suspect Jimi had been drinking wine all night and before bed he went searching for a friend’s sleeping pills. The normal dose being 1 tablet, he took 9. He lost consciousness and choked on his own vomit.

  • Janis Joplin - Piece of my heart


    Do you remember the song ‘Piece of my heart’? It’s by Janis Joplin, an amazing woman who played at the legendary Woodstock festival in 1969. One year later she was dead. Her addiction to alcohol, amphetamine, and later to heroine was as powerful as her music. One fatal night she bought heroine from her regular dealer, who accidentally sold her pure heroine. She died within minutes of injecting it.

  • The Doors - People are Strange


    The fourth 27 year old went in 1971, Jim Morrisson of The Doors. There are many bizarre theories about his death. Some say he died of an overdose in a nightclub, and that the dealers dragged him back to his apartment to let him die there. Others say he was coughing up blood before going to sleep that night, or that he bled to death. There was no autopsy performed and the official cause of death is heart failure.

  • Nirvana - All Apologies (MTV Unplugged)


    The fifth member inducted was Kurt Cobain in 1994. Founder of the band Nirvana. He was found in his home with a shotgun wound to the head. He had supposedly killed himself. Once again rumors of foul play and conspiracy theories surround Kurt's death.

  • Amy Winehouse - Rehab


    Now the Forever 27 Club has it's newest member. Grammy Award winning Amy Winehouse. The Blues titan was found in her London flat on 7-23-11 unresponsive to paramedics that had been called by a friend. Her long time battle with heroine was well documented by the press and evident in her final performances that were usually cancelled at the last minute due to her condition. At one of her final performances Amy was booed off stage as she had forgotten the words to her own songs.
