Texas Tech will be bringing actor and reading advocate LeVar Burton and Rhodes Scholar and author Wes Moore to the University for their African-American lecture series.

Mr. Burton will give a lecture on “The Value of Diversity” on February 7th at the Student Union Building’s Allen Theater.

““Mr. Burton’s lecture will include references to his television experience across several decades,” Powell said. “He will address the important contributions African-Americans have made to communities around the world.”

Mr. Moore will lecture on the ‘Power of Choice’ and encourage those in the audience to do their part to make an impact on society. This lecture will take place on February 16th also at the Allen Theater.

The series is free and open to the public, but tickets are limited to two per person.
