Texas Tech to Host Miss Black & Gold Scholarship Pageant

The Eta Upsilon Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha will be hosting the 2017 Texas Tech Black and Gold Scholarship Pageant on March 25^th at 6pm.

From Texas Tech:

“The Miss Black & Gold Scholarship Pageant recognizes and awards women who exemplify academic excellence, leadership, community service, talent, and personal wellness at Texas Tech University. There will also be a meal provided as a part of the pageant, and proceeds from the tickets will go to help support this scholarship program.”

This historic African-American fraternity has been a very active and committed organization since 1906. Their members have been active in creating and promoting civil rights programs and organizations throughout the country, and this pageant is a wonderful opportunity to show support for their mission.
