Texas Tech Students Spend Their Summer Costa Rica Trip Saving Baby Turtles
Many people would love to spend their summer vacation on the sunny beaches of Costa Rica, and that's exactly what a group of eight Texas Tech students did for 10 days. However, they were there to work saving precious baby turtles!
According to everythinglubbock.com: "Between poaching eggs and the dangerous trek to the ocean, turtles have quickly become an endangered species that need protection. This led to several organizations seeking volunteers willing to help secure their nests."
The Texas Tech students volunteered through the Center for Active Learning and Undergraduate Engagement (CALUE) .
Thank you for helping save the babies, Texas Tech!
