Texas Tech Cinema Series on Sexism Presents ‘Working Girl’
Texas Tech will be presenting “Working Girl” at Alamo Drafthouse on Wednesday, March 1st at 7:00 pm. This is part of the Cinemas Series focusing on Sexism.

“Tess McGill (Melanie Griffith) a frustrated secretary, struggling to forge ahead in the world of big business in New York. She gets her chance when her boss (Sigourney Weaver) breaks her leg on a skiing holiday. McGill takes advantage of her absence to push ahead with her career. She teams up with investment broker Jack Trainer (Harrison Ford) to work on a big deal.”
Dr. Ben Rogers will end the film with a discussion on the movie and how sexism plays into the movie.
