Today's Texas Tech baseball game against Oklahoma was originally scheduled for 6:30 p.m. It was moved to accommodate the threat of weather in and around Lubbock this evening.

The Red Raiders will now try to smoke the Sooners at 2 p.m., according to TexasTech.com.

The time change won't change the game plan, as the Red Raiders continue to take rips at the ball as they have done for the last week, scoring 76 points in the last four games.

The budding offense will try to continue that momentum against a stout pitching staff led by their Friday chief Jake Irvin, who owns a 2.96 ERA and opponents that hit just .190 against him.

Texas Tech will counter Irvin this afternoon with Davis Martin, who has been dank this season with a 2.35 ERA and a .177 batting average against. His only two losses came in Big 12 play, when his own offense got shut out to be blunt.

Oklahoma has a 9-3 record in the Big 12. With a Texas Tech win today, both teams would have a 9-4 record and be in joint possession of 2nd place.

Hopefully, Texas Tech can get the win today and keep the winning streak rolling.
