Texas Tech baseball started the season 0-3. They entered this Weekend 10-3 and were looking to take a 14-game winning streak into Big 12 play this weekend.  The Red Raiders won 4-3 on Friday, 10-3 on Saturday, and then took a pesky UConn team to the brink on Sunday afternoon with a 15-13 slobber knocker.

As close as UConn looked to squeezing a victory out at points on Sunday they never had the lead. That changed on Monday morning as the Huskies took an early lead and held onto it until the 7th inning when Texas Tech took a two-run lead after a four-run inning. Texas Tech led 6-4 until the top of the ninth when the Huskies plated two to tie the game back up and hold Texas Tech scoreless in the bottom of the frame to send it to extra innings.

As if 36 innings of punishment wasn't enough, UConn wanted more.

The Huskies scored two runs in the top of the 10th inning to make it 8-6 and then this happened:

Nate Rombach hit a Romblast to make it 8-7.

The next batter, Cal Conley, hit a home run to make it 8-8.

That brought up Braxton Fulford who took a pitch for a ball and then hit a third straight ball over the fence for the walk-off blast. Texas Tech wins and sweeps the series with a final score of 9-8.

This is one of those rare things in baseball that is truly special for those who watched it live. Like a no-hitter or a triple play. It might have happened before, but it's still special as heck to experience.

Once in 2017, the Dodgers sent Yasiel Puig, Cody Bellinger, and Justin Turner to the plate to hit back-to-back-to-back home runs in the bottom of the ninth inning against Hector Neris to spark an incredible 6-5 comeback walk-off over the Phillies.

But that wasn't in extra innings.
