Texas’ Annual Sales Tax Holiday Is This Weekend – Everything You Need to Know
This weekend is Texas' annual Sales Tax Holiday. Friday through Sunday, most school-related purchases under $100 will be tax free.
The holiday runs August 5th through August 7th. As in previous years, the law exempts most clothing, footwear, school supplies and backpacks priced less than $100 from sales and use taxes, which could save shoppers about $8 on every $100 they spend.
The Tax Holiday is set separately each year by the Texas Legislature.
