Terrifying or Adorable? Look at These Polarizing Critters

One of the many great things about the internet is its ability to share someone’s hard work and creations with the world.

Whether it is a small business, a short film, an art project, or something else, there is so much to be shared online with a massive audience. The one thing to keep in mind is that not everyone will like what you put out.

Art is subjective, so not everyone will enjoy the art you share with the world. However, there are also plenty of people out there that will enjoy it. That is what I have been observing with the sculptures @nickpainting makes and shares on TikTok.

He makes what he calls ‘Blobs’ and they are the perfect combination of adorable and terrifying with their squishy body, big eyes, and humanoid teeth.

With over 680k followers, it is obvious that people love his art, but I can’t deny the shivers that some of these pieces give you. Some go from extra cue to extra creepy and it seems to be a very fine line between the two.

Something about the less rounded shape of the Blob’s body, the change from a bright color to a fleshy-tone, and more teeth, ends up making nightmare fuel. But rounding it out, brightening the colors and giving it two adorably crooked teeth makes it oddly endearing.

You really just have to see them for yourself in order to truly understand.
