Take Karaoke to the Next Level With Lubbock-Con’s Cosplay Karaoke
Sunday, January 28th at Freaky Tiki Tavern, Lubbock-Con is hosting "Cosplay Karaoke," an opportunity for you to belt out your favorite tunes while in costume.
I love cosplay. In fact, it's usually the most memorable part of any convention I've ever attended. At last year's Lubbock-Con, I went as a character I really love (Rose Quartz if you're asking). The joy of getting to "be" that character and to have other fans recognize her became a very happy memory for me. And hey, I didn't hate people asking to take their picture with me.
I'm not sure of the details as of yet, but there appears to be a contest as well, so if your cosplay and karaoke are on point, you definitely want to be there.
Additionally, this is a rare opportunity to sing karaoke in a smoke-free bar. As someone who relies on my voice to pay the rent, that's a huge priority for me.
