Slaton Small Town Christmas Is Coming This Weekend
This time of year, Christmas events are everywhere. And this one sounds especially incredible!
The Slaton Chamber of Commerce will be presenting "Slaton Small Town Christmas" Saturday, December 2nd from 6 to 9 p.m.
Here is a sampling of events they have coming up:
- Tis' The Season on Slaton's Square - Will include lights and decorated trees, horse-drawn carriage rides, food trucks, cocoa and cider on the square Christmas music and more.
- Holiday Express - The Polar Express train is not running this year, but Slaton will offer its own version. Slaton’s includes a free train ride, caroling, free hot cocoa and cider, Christmas stories, plus a seat on Santa’s lap in a vintage red caboose.
- Tree Decorating Contest - Businesses and families are invited to enter the tree decorating contest. Rebar trees will be constructed and installed around the town square by November 27. Entry fee is $10, and a winner will choose the charity or non-profit of choice to win the cash prize.
