
Seventeen-Year-Old Boy Dies in Lubbock Car Crash
A car crashed into a semi-truck on I-27 in Lubbock Saturday night (May 9), claiming the life of one person.
According to the Lubbock Police Department, the crash, which involved a two-door passenger vehicle and a semi-truck and trailer, occurred before 7:09 p.m. Saturday night near the 5400 block of I-27.
Police say that the car was traveling northbound on I-27 when it veered across the highway's center median and collided with the semi-truck that was traveling southbound.
Seventeen-year-old Parker Weber, the driver of the car, died as a result of the crash. The driver of the semi-truck, Ivelim Kahchev (44), received minor injuries.
The LPD Accident Investigation Team was called out and is investigating.
