Surprise! On Saturday (Jan. 24), Rihanna premiered a new tune featuring Kanye West and Paul McCartney called ‘FourFiveSeconds.’ This might be the same song Yeezy played for audiences at the iHeartMedia Music Summit last Wednesday (Jan. 21).

The minimalist ballad, which was co-written by Ty Dolla $ign and Dallas Austin, features McCartney on acoustic guitar and RiRi’s emotional vocals. On the song, the R&B siren remains unapologetic of partying all night while her boyfriend awaits her return home.

“And I know you are home tonight / Thinking how I can be so selfish / But you call about a 1,000 times wondering where I’ve been,” she sings. “But I can’t just apologize, I hope you understand.”

West plays the upset beau who responds, “Woke up an optimist / Sun was shining, I’m positive / Then I heard you was talkin' trash / Hold me back, I’m ’bout to spaz.”

The pair come together at the end to sing the infectious chorus, which goes, “I’m ’bout four, five seconds from wildin’ / And we got three more days til Friday / I’m trying to make it back home by Monday morning / And I swear I wish somebody would tell it, that’s all I want.”

‘FourFiveSeconds’ is Rihanna’s first song under her own music imprint, Westbury Road Entertainment, and distributed by Roc Nation. There’s no word if the song will appear on her eighth album, which is due out this year. According to reports, DJ Mustard, Mike WiLL Made It, Rae Sremmurd and Ne-Yo are among the collaborators on the project.
