A record Flu season is underway and everyone is doing whatever to avoid getting the funk. But what can you do if you already have it? Try some ice cream. Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, the Ohio-based company’s Influenza Sorbet won’t cure the flu, but it will definitely make you feel better, says Jeni Britton Bauer, the company’s founder and president.

The Influenza Sorbet contains honey, ginger, orange juice and lemon juice. And if that weren’t enough, it also has Maker’s Mark bourbon and cayenne pepper! Oh yeah!

The loaded sorbet with kick might not be exactaly what the doctor ordered, but Bauer said it works.

They're selling it at jenis.com for 12 bucks a pint. I know that is extremely expensive for a pint of ice cream, but relief from the flu is worth every penny.
