Reese Witherspoon Suffers Minor Injuries After Being Hit By Car

Reese Witherspoon was hit by a car Wednesday while she was jogging in Santa Monica, California.

The 35-year old actress was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital were she was treated for minor injuries and then released. According to her rep, Witherspoon is ”resting comfortably at home.”

The Oscar-winning star was running across the street when she was struck at 20 miles per hour by an unnamed 84-year old driver, who was cited by police for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

Witherspoon, who divorced fellow actor Ryan Phillippe in 2007, married agent Jim Toth in March of this year.
