Prosecutors Ask Court to Hold Dr. Dixon on $2 Million Bond
Lubbock prosecutors requested the appeals court on Thursday (Dec. 27) to set Dr. Thomas Michael Dixon’s bond at $2 million.
KAMC News reports Dixon had been convicted of capital murder in November. However, that conviction was later set aside on appeal.
Court records say that the request to set bail at $2 million is to make sure that Dixon will appear at his retrial. Dixon requested that he be released on $100,000 bond; previously, his bond had been set at $10 million, and then was lowered to $2 million.
As of this time, a retrial date has not been set. He is currently being held in the Allred Unit in Iowa Park, Texas.
