Two Arrested for Aggravated Assault After Shooting in Levelland

New information concerning the shooting in Levelland Sunday (April 8) evening.

Levelland Police responded to reports of a shooting last night around 7:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Hickory Street. KAMC News reports 27-year-old Matthew Ryan Sanchez was taken to a Lubbock hospital with a gunshot wound, and later died.

20 year-old Paul Cruz and 19 year-old Canyon Brent Faull, were arrested for aggravated assault, and booked into the Hockley County Jail each on bonds totaling more than $250,000.

A man was shot in Levelland on Sunday and taken to a Lubbock hospital.

KAMC News reports that the shooting incident occurred at around 7:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Hickory Street in Levelland.

One man was taken by EMS to a Lubbock hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound.

The extent of his injuries and current condition is unknown. Levelland police are still investigating.
