Owl and Man Duke It Out in Fiercely Adorable Game of Tug of War
This rope's not big enough for the two of them.
Boris, a DJ with WPDH in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., recalled an encounter he had with an owl that has been shacking up on his property. The feisty bird found a rope and was determined not to let it go.
The whole matter stemmed from a disagreement over a rope. You've heard about how territorial owns can be about rope, right? No? Well, truth be known, neither have we. In reality, the owl may have mistook the rope for a snake, which prompted it to become so possessive.
So, what is a homeowner to do when an owl tries to hijack your rope. Well, Boris came up with a clever idea. We won't give it away here, but let's just say it involves some loud noise and some cooking instruments.
Whether the bird returns remains to be seen, although we'd like to think his calendar is filled with him trying to figure out how many licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop.
