One Person Killed in Overnight Drive-By Shooting in Lubbock
Early Wednesday morning (September 1st), Lubbock Police were called out to the scene of a drive-by shooting in the 1600 block of 28th Street, near the intersection of 28th Street and Avenue P.
Officers arrived to the scene of the shooting just before 1:15 a.m. One man was pronounced dead at the scene, and a second man was taken to UMC for treatment of moderate injuries.

The deadly shooting is being investigated by the Lubbock Police Metropolitan Special Crimes Unit and Texas Anti-Gang Center agents.
As of 5 a.m., no identities have been released and no arrests have been made.
