One Dead Following Weekend Crash in Lubbock

Saturday evening around 6:15 p.m., patrol officers responded to a report of a single vehicle car accident in the 3500 block of 58th Street.

A 1938 Chevy passenger car was heading eastbound on 58th Street when the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree on the roadway.

The driver of the Chevy was identified as 45-year-old Larry Grado Lopez. He was rushed with life threatening injuries to UMC where he later died.

The Lubbock Police Accident Investigation Team was called to the scene and continues to investigate the crash.
