Nike Sends Viral Lubbock Teen Sneakers and a Powerful Message [Video]

You may remember our blog last week about Coronado High School student Hector Montez, the great kid that bought his teacher/football coach Thomas Walser a pair of shoes that he's wanted since he was young. It was a thoughtful and touching gesture.

Sometimes, what goes around, comes around. And what came around from Nike to Hector is so sweet I can barely stand it.

Check out this video from his friend's Twitter account that shows Hector opening the gift from Nike:

The shoes are incredibly cool, but the note is arguably better. It says: "Your teacher inspired you. You inspired us. Continue to be the change you want to see."

I can't say this enough: Hector is a great kid, and I hope that more and more students learn from his example.
