Naughtiest Celebs Called Out!
You know what they say - "there is no such thing as bad publicity!" Well, maybe not entirely true. Some celebrities have crossed that line where people have formed a not-so-favorable opinion of those in the limelight. So much so the team at ICE36 came up with a list by looking at Google searches. Along with the celebrity's name, the two words searched were "scandal" and "controversy."
Here are the results of their study...
Rank | Celebrity | Total 'scandal' searches | Total 'controversy' searches | Total number of Google Searches Jun 2022 - May 2023 |
1 | James Corden | 3,370 | 3,880 | 7,250 |
2 | Adam Levine | 5,150 | 1,190 | 6,340 |
3 | Tiger Woods | 3,540 | 1,280 | 4,820 |
4 | Ellen Degeneres | 2,580 | 1,720 | 4,300 |
5 | Prince Harry | 2,510 | 1,140 | 3,650 |
6 | Mel Gibson | 1,160 | 2,330 | 3,490 |
7 | Taylor Swift | 560 | 1,720 | 2,280 |
8 | Olivia Wilde | 370 | 1,800 | 2,170 |
9 | Meghan Markle | 1,160 | 840 | 2,000 |
10 | Liam Neeson | 360 | 1,510 | 1,870 |
For 2023, this list makes sense. James Corden was banned from New York restaurant Balthazar after being accused of "being abusive" by the restaurant's owner. Corden denied any wrong doing. Number Two, Adam Levine, the lead singer of Maroon 5, was accused of having an affair with an Instagram model. Tiger Woods at Number Three was kind of a surprise. His big cheating scandal happened all the way back in 2009. I'm also surprised to see Taylor Swift in the top ten. Sure she is one of the biggest stars in the world, but besides re-recording her albums to get her master right back and a few jabs at old boyfriends- she is pretty much serious scandal-free.
Because of their high-profile and some negative stories surrounding them, Ellen Degeneres, Olivia Wilde, Meagan Markle, and Prince Harry were really no big surprise.
