A big question surrounding Natalie Maines' induction into the West Texas Walk of Fame was whether or not she would actually be at the event.

Now, we can say for sure she will. In fact, we have it on good authority that Maines might be in Lubbock as you're reading this.

Eddie Moreno, chair for the West Texas Walk of Fame, told Lonestar 99.5 FM that Maines would be present for the induction ceremony, which begins Thursday, September 17 at 6 p.m. inside the Lubbock High School auditorium. It's located at 2004 19th Street.

Jo Harvey Allen, a Lubbock playwright, poet and female radio pioneer, will also be inducted into the West Texas Walk of Fame.

The event is free and open to the public. Doors open at 5 p.m.

Of course, if you spot Maines in Lubbock and put any pictures or videos on your Facebook page you should DEFINITELY let us know. Shoot an email to justin.massoud@townsquaremedia.com if you happen to catch her hanging around town. Of course, be respectful and kind. It's the Lubbock way, right?
