Last week, major movie theater chains AMC and Regal closed their doors indefinitely in an effort to promote social distancing due to coronavirus. This prompted several studios to postpone their upcoming movies' releases, including Disney's Mulan, Paramount's A Quiet Place Part II, and 20th Century Studios' The New Mutants. But what about the movies that had their releases mere weeks (or days) before everything on Earth changed? As it turns out, many titles that were untimely ripped from theaters are now being made available for rent or purchase online, providing immeasurable relief to those stuck at home and bored out of their minds.

In addition, Frozen II was added to Disney+ on March 15, three whole months before it was supposed to be. Disney-Pixar's Onward will hit the streaming platform April 3, just four weeks after its initial box office debut.

So dim the lights, pull the curtains, and whip out the popcorn — it looks like our homes are the only movie theaters we'll have for a while.
