A few months ago, well known and beloved musician Mike Pritchard passed away in Lubbock.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions still being in effect for funeral homes at the time of Pritchard's death, only a memorial service for Pritchard's family could be held.

Well, coming up this Sunday there will be an all-day event held in northwest Lubbock to honor Pritchard's life.

"Friend's - Fest" will be held Sunday, July 11 from Noon-10pm at the Prima Vista Events Center at 402 North Inler Avenue.

Tickets can be purchased in advance of Sunday's event for $10 at Ralph's Records (82nd & Indiana in Lubbock); or for $15 at the door.

There are many great artists playing at Sunday's all-day event, including: Junior Vasquez, Jenny Dale Lord, Mark Walney, Wally Moyers, the Hub City Players and Texas Cadillac Jack.

There will also be food trucks on-site and beer and wine on sale throughout the day.

If you haven't had a chance to attend an event at the Prima Vista Events Center, I think you'll be impressed. As you can see in the photo below, they have a stage that is large enough to fit almost all bands, with a sound system that feeds into the main events room that can fit hundreds of people.
