It's reported that the pursuit began a bit before 2:30 a.m. at the intersection of North Ash Avenue and East Tulane Street.
Police say that they located a stolen vehicle in the 1700 bloc of Oak Avenue and initiated a traffic stop. The vehicle refused to pull over and fled from officers.
As the pursuit ensued, the vehicle traveled westbound in the 900 block of East Erskine Street. It's said the driver lost control of the vehicle while turning northbound in the 600 block of North Ivory Avenue, causing him to collide into a residence in the 800 block of East Erskine Street.
The vehicle, however, continued to evade police.
It's said the vehicle was traveling northbound in the 2000 block of North Ash Avenue and turned eastbound onto the 100 block of East Tulane Street. That's when the driver lost control again and collided into a gas meter and telephone pole in an alley.
The driver, 46-year-od Christopher Rodriquez, was arrested and transported to the Lubbock County Detention Center.
It hasn't been reported the extent of injuries, if any, suffered by anyone during the pursuit or the crash that ended the pursuit.
