Luke Perry's final Riverdale episode will air this week.

The actor, who died after suffering from a stroke in March at the age of 52, will make his last appearance as Fred Andrews on Riverdale this Wednesday, April 24h at 8 p.m. on The CW. The show's creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa shared the news via Twitter, revealing this upcoming episode is the last one Perry shot before he passed away.

"This week’s #Riverdale is the last episode Luke filmed," Aguirre-Sacasa tweeted alongside a photo of Perry. "As always, Fred’s imparting words of wisdom to Archie. A beautiful, true moment between a father and his son."

"Wish these scenes could go on forever..." Aguirre-Sacasa added.

It's still unclear how the show will explain Perry's absence, but Aguirre-Sacasa previously confirmed the series will be addressing his death. "We know that we have to address it in some way, but we’re giving ourselves a little bit of time and space before we figure out the best way to honor him," he told Entertainment Tonight last month.

Following his death, Aguirre-Sacasa also revealed that every Riverdale episode this season will be dedicated to Perry's memory, "as all episodes will be for the rest of our run."
