Lubbock’s Snowstorm Didn’t Stop This Man From Getting to His Bride-to-Be
Last Saturday’s 10 inches of snow kept a lot of Lubbock families at home for the day, either snuggled up inside or outside making snowmen in the yard.
But not for one Lubbock couple.
According to KCBD, Val Hernandez had a date with destiny at 10 a.m. that morning. He was planning to marry the love of his life, Andrea, and nothing would stop this couple from saying their I-do's.
The City of Lubbock recommended not getting out on the roads that day, and for good reason. Wrecks and stranded motorists were being reported throughout the city. Things were no different for the wedding party.
Andrea's bridesmaid got stuck in the snow, and the groom had car troubles of his own.
But that didn't stop him.
Val ended up walking though 10 inches of snow so he could meet his bride at the altar.
Ahhh…true love. If only we could all be loved like that.
