Lubbock’s Skate Ranch Brings Back Iconic Weekly Event
Lubbock’s Skate Ranch is a family owned and operated business that has been an iconic part of the Hub City since 1967.
They are the place many Lubbockites first learned how to skate, and a place that welcomes all ages along with organizations, schools, and more. Although they are often used as a place to host children’s birthday parties, they are about to bring back an event that is meant for their older patrons.
Starting on March 23rd, they will be hosting an ‘Adult only Skate Night’ every Thursday from 6:30 to 9:30. All profits from these evenings will be given to local charities, and it will be a 100% kid-free experience.
As an adult that never learned how to skate, this sounds like a fun time to learn without the fear of running over any kids or embarrassing myself as small children lap me while I cling to the wall.
It could also be a great date night to get away from the kids. Especially if you want to re-live your younger days as you skate around without a care in the world.
They first introduced these Adult Skate Nights last September, but took a break shortly after introducing them. Now, people are excited they are bringing them back. I feel like it is the perfect timing to do so since the weather is warming up and people are looking for more things to do around town.
If you want to stay up to date with what Skate Rach is doing, you can give them a follow on Facebook for updates.
