Lubbock’s Señor Chubby’s Suddenly Announces Final Days

Another Lubbock business unfortunately bites the dust, announcing their sudden closure within the next 48 hours.

Señor Chubby’s has been a well-loved establishment in Lubbock since they first opened in 2021. With all the classic Mexican grub locals love, special margarita deals, and more, they were a favorite for many.

Just before noon on February 19th, 2024, they made an official announcement that they will be closing their doors. Not only are they closing, but they are doing so within the next 24 to 48 hours depending on how long their current food supply lasts.

So, this is your last chance to eat there as they pass the torch to new owners that are looking to completely revamp the space and rebrand with a new concept. I am not sure what this new business will be, but time will tell.

Sad to see them go... New opportunities on the way!

The owners of Señor Chubby’s Mexican Bar & Grill say they will be moving on to new opportunities and they are incredibly grateful for the support they have had over the past few years.

It is always sad to see a local business go, but I am intrigued to see what will come from this closure.

If you are a regular, definitely head over and show them some support during their final hours. If you have been holding off on trying them, now is your last chance to do so before they are gone for good.
