The Old Farmer's Almanac has been a reliable source for long term weather predictions since...1792? Wow, they are ancient.

They've released their prediction map for winter 2020-21. While it doesn't include Cthulu rising from the abyss to engulf us all into the void -- you know, 2020 stuff -- it does appear that we're on the cusp of getting major snowfall. Amarillo will get walloped, apparently.

Judging by the map, we are saddling "It's snow time!" and "not too cold/not too wet." I imagine we'll get a wild and wonderful mix of both, in addition to a few random summer-like days like we always do.

From The Old Farmer's Almanac:

In the Texas-Oklahoma region, winter will be drier than normal, on average, with below-normal snowfall in places that normally receive snow. The best chance for snow will be in late January.

WILL WE HAVE AN ESPECIALLY COLD WINTER?

Winter will be milder temperatures than normal, with the coldest periods in mid-November, early to mid-December, and late January.
