Here's an excellent excuse to order some Chinese delivery tonight: A recent study found that out of the biggest 100 cities in the United States, Lubbock, Texas actually ranks number one for the cheapest food delivery fees.

Can you believe it? All this time, I really thought we were getting screwed over and it turns out, things could be WAY worse.

A credit building site conducted a study where they ordered the exact same meal from McDonald's through DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub, in the top 100 largest cities in America to find out who was spending the most on delivery charges. They decided on a Quarter Pounder meal, a 10-piece McNugget meal, a coke, and a side of fries for their test.

Seattle, Washington was found to be the most expensive, with an average price of $55.35 for the order. Meanwhile, over here in Lubbock, we are looking at spending approximately $26.65 for the exact same meal to be delivered. That's a huge difference.

The next cheapest place to order delivery is Alburquerque, New Mexico, followed by Toledo, Ohio; Laredo, Texas; and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Following Seattle, Washington the next most expensive places to order takeout are Chula Vista, California, and New York City.

See guys, Lubbock may suck in a lot of ways, but not this one! The grass always looks greener on the other side, until you get to the other side and try to order some DoorDash and end up spending your entire paycheck on it. Eff that noise. Lubbock just got 10 times cooler.
