Lubbock Ranks 7th Among Texas Cities With Highest STD Cases for 2018
The 2018 annual summary of reported chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis infections ranks the City of Lubbock 7th out of 50 cities in Texas with the highest Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) cases.
The Texas Department of State and Health Service's most recent STD Surveillance Report indicates that Lubbock County ranks 6th for highest gonorrhea cases, 8th for P&S Syphillis, 12th for chlamydia, and 15th for total syphilis.
The research conducted by the Texas Department of State and Health Service shows steady growth in sexually transmitted disease within Texas over the last decade.
