Lubbock Police Respond to Shooting at Days Inn

The Lubbock Police Department received reports of a victim with a gunshot wound a little bit before noon on Tuesday.

According to LPD's Public Information Officer Tiffany Taylor, the shooting happened at around 11:40 a.m. at the Days Inn located at 6025 South Avenue Q Drive.

The victim was identified as a 34-year-old male, who was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Police have determined that an altercation took place in one of the hotel rooms and the victim was shot by a male suspect, who has yet to be located.
