The Lubbock Police Department has released a video of an officer-involved crash.

This crash happened on November 3rd, 2019, and it clearly shows a red car turning in front of the police officer before impact.

According to the story posted on Facebook by LPD, the policeman was attempting to stop a vehicle that committed a traffic violation behind an ambulance up ahead.

I am unaware of what, if any controversy is out there surrounding this video, but I will say that this is an excellent example of why you're supposed to pull over when emergency vehicles have their lights and sirens going.
