On Wednesday (August 21st), a Lubbock man accepted a plea deal for manslaughter in the shooting death of his cousin, Devin Holland.

Quaylon Jamar Williams was 18 at the time of the shooting, and Holland was the same age. According to KAMC News, the two had a dispute over a wallet in the 1900 block of 66th Street. They struggled over a gun and it went off, striking Holland in the neck and chest.

Williams was initially indicted for murder, but the plea deal was for manslaughter.

Williams is set to serve 20 years in prison, and will get credit for the time he has already served.
