Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest, a late September and early October celebration from Munich, Germany, known for its tradition of drinking mass amounts of beer and having fun with friends and family.

Lubbock is celebrating in their own way, and there are two events you can check out this weekend. The first is an Oktoberfest Party at Little Woodrow's this Friday, September 22, 2023. Kicking off at 9:00, there will be $5 pretzels and cheese, $7 bratwurst in a blanket, DJ’s all night, and a stein hoisting competition happening at 10:00 p.m.

On Saturday, September 23, 2023, Two Docs Brewery is hosting their annual Doktoberfest. They will have a live brass band all day, food trucks with plenty of German food, Prosts, stein hoisting, and more. This event starts at noon and will go into the evening.

Fall Plant Sale

The Texas Tech Greenhouse and Horticultural Center is hosting a fall plant sale this Saturday, September 23, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. This will be a great chance to speak with the greenhouse employees, explore the TTU garden, take photos, and buy some plants for your garden or in your house. There aren’t as many options compared to their spring sale, but there should still be a decent variety of plants to pick from.
