In a letter sent out to all Lubbock ISD recipients on Thursday, January 14th, 2021, it was announced that COVID-19 testing is now available to all enrolled students.

The district's rapid testing clinic for COVID-19 is at Central Office, which is located at 1628 19th Street in Lubbock, Texas.

Testing was already available for all employees, but it's only now been expanded for students.

Those who do end up being tested for the novel coronavirus will receive their results by email around two to three hours after the test is administered. Testing is conducted by Lubbock ISD nurses.

Face coverings are mandatory, and people are advised to arrive for their COVID-19 test on time and not early. Parking is available in the East parking lot, and those being tested should enter the Central Office through Door 5. The staircase in the breezeway should be used to access the second floor, then room 220.

Following the test, people are asked to use the same staircase and exit through Door 5 and to not access any other part of the building. Students who wish to be tested must have a signed consent form from a parent or guardian.

COVID-19 testing is strictly voluntary, but those who test positive will be required to stay home and quarantine for at least 10 days.

Any questions can be called into 806-219-0229.
