ORIGINAL STORY: Lubbock County Sheriff's Deputies on Wednesday evening arrested a mother, her 14-year-old son and a second teenager in what could only be described as a wild scene.
Lubbock County Sheriff's Deputies were called out to the Wildwood Mobile Home Village in the 200 block of Kimberly Drive in east Lubbock County to investigate a report of a fight. Then, at approximately 6:20 p.m., the deputies were made aware of an adult woman allegedly assaulting her 14-year-old son nearby.
Deputies determined that the 14 year old may have also assaulted her mother during the incident. The Sheriff's Office says deputies attempted to talk to the 14-year-old boy when he tried to flee the scene on foot. The teen was apprehended and physically resisted arrest, police said.
While deputies were attempting to arrest the 14 year old, a 12-year-old boy attempted to interfere with the arrest. The 12 year old was then arrested, and the 14 year old attempted to assault a sheriff's deputy and was struck in the face, causing a minor injury.
EMS was called to the scene. The 14 year old boy was uncooperative with medical personnel.
The identity of the mother of the 14-year-old boy is 32-year-old Amanda Lee Guzman (pictured). She was arrested and charged with Assault, Family Violence. As of midnight on May 13th, Guzman is in custody at the Lubbock County Detention Center.
Sheriff's deputies also arrested the 14-year-old juvenile and the 12-year-old juvenile. The 14 year old was charged with Evading Arrest/Detention and Resisting Arrest, and the 12 year old was charged with Interference with Public Duties. Both juveniles were transported to the Lubbock County Juvenile Justice Center.
As of late Wednesday night, this incident was still under investigation.
