I have a personal relationship with St. Jude Children's Hospital. Fortunately its not because I've ever known anybody who needed their help. But I have been a part of their Radiothon for the past few years. I was even a part of their annual radio conference in Memphis where we met some of the kids, toured the facilities and learned of some of the amazing advances they've made in treating and curing childhood diseases.

If you've ever wanted to help out a charity but couldn't figure out which one was the right fit for you, or what of the thousands of causes you should donate to, let me help you figure it out. St. Jude is the best charity, in my opinion, of them all. Not only does it save the lives of hundreds of kids yearly, but the kids and their families NEVER have any financial responsibility for the care.

They have facilities on site where the families can stay, sometimes for months on end, while their kid is being treated at the hospital. And the places they have set up take care of every member of the family. If there are brothers or sisters of a sick child St. Jude provides for their needs with video games, basketball courts, tickets to games and a array of other options and activities to help them too. Because the brothers and sisters often feel neglected when parents are struggling with a terminally ill child. So St. Jude provides for their stay at the family housing too.

And again no family has ever paid one single penny for their child's treatment. That includes meals, travel, accommodations, and of course the medicine and procedures for the child.

This is why if you want to help in any way, donations of every kind go a very long way at St. Jude. Because if we can't help the most helpless of our society, our sick kids, then who can we help?

So I found this video of celebrities and kids at St. Jude singing the Beatles "Hey Jude", and I had an idea. we should start a campaign to convince Paul McCartney to donate his song to the hospital. He's made plenty of money on it so far, so he's not going to lose out. And with the popularity of the song being timeless, it could be a constant fundraiser for the hospital. Every time it gets played on the radio, they get a check. So why not? I know that Paul may not even own the song anymore, but if enough people get together behind this, maybe we can make something happen, right? It never hurts to try so I say go for it! Here's  a star-studded line-up singing "Hey St. Jude".
