A Levelland, Texas man has admitted to carjacking and to breaking into his ex's home with the intent to kidnap.

KAMC News reports that back in April 2021, the victim noticed 35-year-old Justin Lee Solano approaching her home in the 2700 block of 68th Street when she told a friend to call police.

The victim said that Solano had been known to have violent tendencies. He allegedly kicked in the victim's front door before punching her in the face. He threatened to harm her if she didn't leave with him. Solano is said to have grabbed the victim's keys before leaving her home with her in the vehicle.

Police located Solano around 30 minutes after. He was arrested for burglary with an intent to commit a felony and aggravated kidnapping and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

According to court records, Solano admitted that he intended to cause death or serious bodily harm to his ex-girlfriend when he took her vehicle. He accepted a federal plea deal for the carjacking charge.
