Midland Co. Sheriff’s Office Arrests Lamesa Man for Threatening to Shoot Up a Walmart
The Midland County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a man from Lamesa on Thursday (Sept. 5). He may have been planning to carry out a shooting in Midland, they said.
The Midland County Sheriff’s Office said that on Wednesday (Sept. 4th), they received multiple reports from concerned residents that someone was threatening on social media to shoot up a Walmart in Midland.
At about 2 p.m. Thursday (Sept. 5), deputies detained 28-year-old Isaac Rodriguez at his workplace in Midland and charged him with making a Terroristic Threat.
CBS7 News in Midland reports that a rifle was confiscated from his car. Midland authorities and Texas DPS are still investigating.
