KISS New Music: Mariah Carey “Almost Home” From the Movie “Oz The Great And Powerful” [AUDIO]

Mariah Carey has released her newest song off the soundtrack to the new movie, "Oz The Great And Powerful". I grabbed "Almost Home" from Mariah's SoundCloud account and its not bad, but it's not great either.

I'll give Mariah props first. she doesn't fill this song with a bunch of meaningless trilly vocal runs that have dominated many of her hits. There are a couple but its definitely not unbearable. The 2 towards the beginning though ALMOST made me stop listening before I made it a minute through. But I survived and heard the whole song.

It's got a decent chorus but it sounds like another movie song that's going to be played over the credits, but isn't really a part of the movie. And it sounds like so many other Disney movie songs that it was kind of disappointing. I hoped Mariah would do more. Listen for yourself.
