Kid Cudi has been juggling music with a budding acting career these last few years, starring in the HBO series 'How to Make It in America' before making his movie debut in 'Need For Speed' back in March. Now the Lonely Stoner is getting behind the camera for a new short film in support of his 'Satellite Flight' album cut, 'Balmain Jeans.'

On Friday (May 9), Cudi revealed on Twitter that he's writing and directing the short film, which he describes as "a story about a spontaneous electric connection between two strangers." That certainly seems to tie in with the track's romantic theme, in which Cudder softly croons about "finding someone who electrifies my body."

The film will serve as Cudi's directorial debut. Although he's yet to have the privilege of working under an established director, the Cleveland native is never one to shy away from a challenge. A release date or cast have yet to be announced, but stay tuned for more details.
