Sometimes, you get tipsy with your pals and agree to bring the mashed potatoes to a Thanksgiving party, only to wake up and realize that the last thing you want to do is make the dang mashed potatoes. At least, that's what happened to this guy...

TikTok user @mvsser posted a photo of this easy way to get off the hook with making taters for your friends and family this year. It's actually a pretty great idea and I'm kind of all about it. Check it out below:

Honestly, the mashed potatoes at KFC are bomb AF and I would gladly accept them on Turkey Day, even if I knew they were from a fast-food chicken joint. I'm not the least bit offended. I would mainly just be sad if the potato person showed up without potatoes. You can't do Thanksgiving without potatoes. I think it's actually a law or something...

He isn't the first guy to throw something store-bought in a regular bowl and pretend he made it. My mom has done it a few times with various items. She mainly likes to pretend she baked all of the beautiful pies on the table when in reality, they came straight from the store.

We are all onto you, Mom.

Have you ever been sneaky on Thanksgiving and pretended to have slaved over a dish that actually came directly from a store? I won't tell your secrets. Comment on our FMX Facebook page if you can relate to this guy or if you plan on doing something similar.
