Locals Are Shocked to Learn About a Hidden 60-Foot Waterfall Right in Belton Lake
I can't believe summer is about to end, and I just found out about this beautiful 60-foot waterfall hidden at Belton Lake. That's right. I've lived here for more than two decades and never knew it even existed. We're talking about someone who went to elementary, middle, and high school right here in Central Texas, and the only reason I know about it now is social media. So, thank God for social media!

For Years Locals Thought This Waterfall Was A Myth
When I first heard about this beautiful waterfall, I thought, "This has to be a myth"kind of like those stories you hear about haunted houses or ghosts living around town. Then, over the weekend, I was scrolling through social media when a friend posted a video from his boat on Belton Lake. As he started recording, I had to ask him, "Are you really in Bell County?"
Locals Have Seen The Waterfall Up Close
He replied, "Not only am I in Bell County, but I'm also at Belton Lake."I couldn't believe it. I'd never seen this waterfall a day in my life. With the waterfall in the background, Central Texas looked like something you'd see on a postcard.
Is It Safe To Swim In The Area?
Now, I'm not sure whether you can swim there, but I do know one thing: it's absolutely gorgeous to look at. So, the next time you hear someone talking about a beautiful waterfall in Belton, they're not talking about Chalk Ridge Falls. They're talking about an actual 60-foot waterfall tucked away at Belton Lake, and it's something you have to see for yourself.
