It's something that all of us in Amarillo deal with, sensitive documents. These can be old tax returns, or really anything with sensitive info like social security numbers, personal info, etc. Many of these documents we don't have a use for any longer, but don't want to just throw them in the trash.

I know the feeling. We're getting ready to move to a new place, and as we start throwing things away and packing, we're coming across a lot of those types of documents. Things we no longer need, but won't just throw away because of the info contained in them.

Shred It Day Is Back

Sure, we could buy a shredder, but we don't need to shred enough documents to make that a worthwhile purchase. So how do we do it? Amarillo Crime Stoppers just announced they're back with the perfect event if you're in the same position as me.

The 19th annual Shred It Day is returning tomorrow, Saturday, April 11, at Document Shredding & Storage. You can find them at 2727 SW 45th Ave. between 10 am and 2 pm.

How Much Can You Bring To Shred

Ok, so you can't just bring an office full of stuff to shred. You have to limit it a bit, but they aren't saying you can only bring a few things to shred.

Each vehicle is able to bring four bags or boxes worth of documents to shred for free. You can fit quite a lot in four boxes or bags, so dig up everything you want to get rid of and bring it on through!
