Shallowater Independent School District has confirmed that an investigation is taking place due to allegations of an improper relationship between a student and employee.

Shallowater ISD Investigating Allegations Against Teacher

Shallowater ISD on Friday confirmed to media and citizens that it had been made aware of allegations involving a student and teacher having an inappropriate relationship. According to KAMC, Shallowater ISD claims they were made aware of the allegations on Monday, February 2. The employee was reportedly placed on administrative leave on Tuesday, February 3.

Shallowater ISD issued a press release on Friday saying the matter is under investigation.

“Shallowater ISD was made aware of an allegation against a district employee after hours on Monday, February 2nd.  The employee was placed on administrative leave the following morning, Tuesday, February 3rd.

The District is fully cooperating with law enforcement while the investigation is ongoing.

Because it is an active investigation, the District is unable to share additional details at this time. We ask for understanding as the process moves forward and for respect for the privacy of all individuals involved.

Shallowater ISD takes all allegations of this nature extremely seriously and remains committed to providing a safe and supportive learning environment for every student.”
